End Fed Wire Antenna Customer Feedback
We’re thrilled to share the experience of our users !
ON3PVC (Pascal)
ON3PVC (Pascal) conducted some QRP tests on FT8 using 10W of power with his end-fed off-center antenna. He’s thrilled with the results, noting that he’s never experienced such impressive performance on the 10M and 15M bands with his previous end-fed half-wave antenna.

ON3PVC (Pascal)
ON3PVC (Pascal) was previously using a well-known brand’s 23m EFHW antenna for the 80-10M band, featuring a dangling coil at the end. However, Pascal faced significant challenges: the antenna was too long to perform effectively on 10M and provided poor performance on 80M NVIS. After consulting with us, Pascal decided to upgrade to the 29m RF.Guru EFOC antenna, following our recommendation, based on its more optimized design for these bands.
Pascal regularly calls into NX8T’s 10M net but has always struggled with a weak signal – until now.
The results speak for themselves. Pascal has captured two videos showcasing the dramatic improvement in performance:
RF.Guru EFOC29 antenna:
The received signal is a solid S9, providing clear and consistent reception.
The EFHW antenna:
The received signal is only S3, showing much weaker reception !
This side-by-side demonstration highlights why the End-fed Half-wave is too long for 10M DX ! And End-fed Off-center will outperform an half wave on 10M and 12M band due to it's design !
