Function
- Chokes common-mode currents on coax feedlines
- Provides a clean ground path for noise pickup via the included RVS ground stake
- Compact receive-only 1:1 UNUN choke for active antennas
- Less than 2 dB insertion loss
Mechanical Characteristics
- Professional-grade 75Ω F-connector
- IP66 rated after sealing with self-vulcanizing tape or equivalent
Performance
Common-mode rejection performance was measured using two Tekbox current clamps in a differential setup. With a wideband noise source injected, spectrum analysis confirmed rejection of more than +30 dB across the HF spectrum.
Mini-FAQ
- Is it transmit-rated? — No, this isolator is designed for receive-only applications.
- What connectors are used? — Professional 75Ω F-connectors (IP66 sealed when taped).
- Why is a ground peg included? — To provide a defined ground reference and bleed off noise pickup.
- How much insertion loss? — Less than 2 dB across its working range.
- How effective is it? — Provides wideband >30 dB common-mode rejection from 500 kHz to 200 MHz.
