Three USB ports and wired Ethernet from one USB-C connection
Connect USB-A peripherals and a network cable through one compact hub. The StarTech.com 5G3AGBB-USB-C-HUB combines three USB-A data ports with a Gigabit Ethernet socket and an attached 30 cm USB-C host cable.
Use the radio's USB HOST connection to add peripherals and wired networking while running OpenX6X00, the open firmware we maintain.
Three USB-A ports for peripherals, plus one RJ45 socket supporting 10/100/1000 Mb/s Ethernet. Connected devices share the host connection and its available power.
Choose it for the right radio
X6100: RF.Guru has tested this model with OpenX6X00. Connect it to the USB HOST port, rather than the computer-facing USB DEV port, and keep the total peripheral load within the radio's USB power capability.
X6200: this hub has not yet been validated by RF.Guru. Xiegu's X6200 manual advises against external USB hubs because its USB power supply is limited. For a wired-network connection on either radio, the Delock 81570 is the adapter used to develop and test OpenX6X00 Ethernet support on both models.
Power and connection
The hub is USB bus powered and also has a Micro-B input for auxiliary power. An auxiliary supply and its cable are not included. There is no USB Power Delivery pass-through: this is a peripheral hub, not a charger for the radio or computer.
The USB interface supports up to 5 Gb/s on a suitable host and is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1. These are the hub's interface ratings; the radio's USB interface, software and connected devices determine actual transfer speeds.
